The Great Transition Network (GTN) is the knowledge community of the Great Transition Campaign. It was established in 2003 as a core feature of the Great Transition Initiative (GTI), the forerunner project of GTC. Today, GTN engages a diverse global group of over a thousand scholars and activists from more than 70 countries.
GTN advances a Great Transition and the emergence of a global citizens movement by:
- Enriching scholarly thought and activist practice
- Elaborating a new social vision and the implications for politics, society, economy, environment, and culture
- Encouraging cross-fertilization of Great Transition concepts with specialized discourses, political traditions, and academic disciplines
- Fostering a global community of aligned scholars and activists from diverse movements, campaigns, disciplines, and regions
GT Network members engage in dialogues on key documents, serve as GTC ambassadors in external venues, and participate in GTC activities.
